Usage of GTB Dry-type Test Transformer

The GTB dry-type test transformer adopts new technologies and materials such as epoxy vacuum casting of coils and CD-type iron cores. Compared with oil-immersed test transformers of the same capacity and voltage, it has the advantages of light weight, small size, beautiful appearance, stable performance, convenient use and portability, and no oil leakage. It also effectively weakens the magnetic leakage and improves the insulation strength and moisture resistance. It is especially suitable for the on-site detection of the insulation performance, DC voltage withstand and leakage current tests of various electrical equipment in the power system and by power users. It is the preferred product to replace the current bulky oil-immersed transformers.

The dry-type test transformer outputs high AC and DC voltages, providing high voltages for various high-voltage tests. It is used for the on-site detection of the insulation performance of various electrical equipment.

The dry-type test transformer introduces the latest advanced foreign technologies, uses advanced production equipment, and adopts new technologies and materials such as epoxy vacuum casting of coils and CD-type iron cores.   1. In terms of the insulation structure layout, according to the "distance effect" principle of transformer oil, multi-layer insulation is adopted. The internal insulation of the transformer is divided into multiple oil passages, thereby improving the insulation level and reducing the volume.
  2. The problem of oil leakage in the series of transformers is solved. Since the series of transformers have no oil conservator, when the temperature is too high, the oil expands and leaks out from the oil nozzle. In this series of products, the oil filling hole is set at the top of the bushing, and the oil in the bushing is connected to the oil in the transformer body. Therefore, in addition to functions such as installing silicon stacks, short-circuit rods and series tube rods, the bushing is also equivalent to the oil conservator of the transformer.
  3. The high-voltage output end of the GTB dry-type test transformer is sealed with epoxy resin. Since a large number of bubbles are generated when epoxy resin is poured under normal conditions, resulting in a discharge phenomenon at the high-voltage lead part. The RXOSB series products use metal parts to fix the lead pens for voltage equalization, thereby eliminating the discharge phenomenon.
  4. The oil tank of this series of products has a compact structure and a novel appearance. The volume and weight are about 20% smaller than those of the oil test series products.
  5. The iron core of the product is of a single-frame core type, made of 0.30mm cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets stacked together and tightened with new special materials, replacing the traditional core-penetrating screws. The coil is of a concentric cylindrical multi-layer tower structure.

Usage of the Dry-type Test Transformer

  1. Before use, you must read the instruction manual of the transformer and the instruction manual of the supporting control box (console) in detail. Connect the wires according to the instruction manual, and the grounding wire should be well grounded.
  2. The power supply of the dry-type transformer control box (console) is available in two types: AC 220V and 380V. It is output to the low-voltage input end of the transformer through a voltage regulator. After transformation, it can be continuously adjusted to the rated voltage value.
  3. Considering the safety of the dry-type test transformer and the rigor of high-voltage tests to avoid damage to the equipment or test samples, our factory can provide a complete set of equipment as shown in the following figure to meet the needs of users: The complete set of equipment includes: high-voltage test transformer, transformer control box (console), voltage divider, sphere gap protector, discharge rod, high-voltage oil cup, high-voltage silicon stack (for DC tests), and digital microammeter (for DC tests).
  4. When conducting a DC voltage withstand or leakage current test, you can first screw the high-voltage silicon stack and microammeter onto the high-voltage output end of the high-voltage test transformer, and then gradually increase the voltage to conduct the DC test.
  5. When two test transformers are connected in cascade (the schematic diagram is as follows), the rated output voltages of the first and second transformers are equal, and the capacity ratio is 2:1. The second transformer must be placed on an insulating support to ensure insulation from the ground. When connecting in series, pay attention to the marks on the transformers (refer to the schematic diagram of the connection method) to ensure correct polarity connection to ensure the output of the 预定 voltage. Otherwise, the output voltage will be zero.
    Note:
    ① If A and B are connected reversely, the high-voltage output will be zero (T1 + T2 = 0). Just swap A and B.
    ② The chassis of the T2 test transformer must be connected to the tray of the insulating support.
