The inspection of substation equipment is an important part of operation management work. It is an essential basic task for checking the operation status of equipment, mastering the operation rules of equipment, and ensuring safe operation. In order to further strengthen the operation management of substations and improve the safety operation level of substation equipment.

While inspecting the substation equipment, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out on the thermal insulation, sealing, and heating device operation status of outdoor equipment such as the mechanism boxes and terminal boxes of the substation, as well as on the foundation base of the transformer and the cable trench. Conduct a careful inspection of important equipment such as main transformers, capacitors, switchgear, and storage batteries, grasp the operation status of the equipment, and make corresponding records to achieve refined and normalized equipment inspection and potential hazard investigation.

There are some special inspection items during the inspection. Under what circumstances should a special inspection be carried out on the transformer? The specific situations are as follows:
Point 1: For new equipment or transformers that have undergone overhaul and renovation, inspect once every hour within 72 hours after being put into operation.
Point 2: When there are serious defects.
Point 3: When overloaded, monitor the changes in load, oil temperature, and oil level. The joints should not be overheated, and the cooling system should operate normally.
Point 4: During the high-temperature season and peak load periods.
Point 5: During the thunderstorm season, especially after a thunderstorm.
Point 6: On windy days: Monitor the swinging of the leads and check whether there are any sundries hanging on them.
Point 7: On thunderstorm and foggy days, monitor whether there is any discharge phenomenon on the porcelain insulators, and focus on monitoring the contaminated porcelain components.
Point 8: During holidays and special power supply guarantee periods.
